The same lamp, on a cooler surface.

The antique nickel version. Body and bell shade are unchanged — stepped round base, upright stem, a T-arm turned at both ends, the shade hung from it on a joint — but the finish is nickel rather than brass. The difference carries into the light: off brass it leans yellow, off nickel it comes back whiter and more neutral. For anyone who wants the colour on the page as it really is, this is the one.

It belongs in studies built of grey, charcoal and white, on desks of steel and glass. The ageing is done by hand, and faint differences of tone stay in the surface; no two are identical.

The tilt of the shade is set by hand. The switch sits on the base.

Dimensions: 45 cm high, 32 cm wide, 20 cm arm reach. Shade 20 cm across and 12 cm deep. Base 18 cm across.

Made to order. Size, colour and quantity change on request; metal and electrical fittings are specified per order.
