The finest cutwork in the range. A tall onion body, a solid turned collar beneath it, a second bowl below that, and a pierced conical finial to close.

Here the perforations are not a pattern but a texture: tens of thousands of lentil-sized holes arranged into interlocking flower medallions. Up close you read them one by one; two steps back the metal disappears entirely and only light remains. It stops looking like a lit lantern and starts looking like a mass of light suspended in the air.

The shadow it casts is equally dense, and covers the whole room.

Antique brass patina. Every hole is cut by hand — a single body takes days.

There is only one way to pierce at this density, and that is patience. A hole the size of a lentil takes seconds; tens of thousands take days. To keep the holes in their medallion order the body is drawn out in full first and then pierced along the line — freehand piercing is not possible in this pattern.

The antique brass surface is not a plating but a patina worked into the metal. The patina works into the edges of the holes too, adding depth to the texture.

Bulb not included. Made in two sizes and adapted to any size required. Made in our own Istanbul workshop since 1984.
