An Ottoman lantern chandelier, Ø60 cm across, with a fluted cylindrical body. The body is built from carved brass strips with opal glass panels set between them. Because strip and glass alternate, the light leaves the body as one unbroken band around its circumference.

Above sits a carved domed cap, below a pierced sphere. The dome gathers the light escaping upward and returns it; the sphere beneath spreads light straight down. The piece works in two directions at once — pattern outward, brightness downward.

The opal glass hides the lamp completely. Walking beneath it or looking up, nothing dazzles; what you get is a warm golden brightness. The fine carving in the metal strips lays a shadow pattern across the walls.

The finish is antique brass — a patina worked into the metal rather than a plating.

It suits entrance halls, corridors, hotel lobbies, restaurants, historic houses and mosque entrances. Ø60 cm is the diameter scaled for spaces of that kind.

Bulb not included. Chain length set on request. Available made to measure in other sizes and colours. Made in our own Istanbul workshop since 1984.
