Two stepped brass drums, one set within the other. The upper is wide, the lower narrow, and each is pierced with a different pattern — an open teardrop weave above, a much finer scrolling vine below. Two distinct densities of cutwork on one piece.

An opal glass disc closes the base. It conceals the lamp entirely and throws an even, glare-free light downward, while what escapes through the tiers washes the ceiling in pattern. Illumination and shadow, working at the same time.

Overall depth is 35 cm — the way to bring Moroccan cutwork into rooms too low for a pendant.

Antique brass patina. Pierced by hand in our workshop.

Nesting the two tiers is the most delicate part of assembly: if the gap between them is uneven, more light escapes on one side and the pattern on the ceiling reads out of balance. That spacing is set by hand.

The antique brass surface is not a plating but a patina worked into the metal, and it darkens over time.
