Wall Sconce

A teardrop-form wall sconce in pierced metal. The teardrop narrows from top to bottom, directing the light down the wall rather than spilling it sideways. What appears is not a patch but a descending line of light.

The perforations add a second layer within that line: light escaping sideways passes through the holes and lays a pattern of points across the wall. The same fitting gives both a soft brightness and a decorative texture.

Because its lines are oval and rounded, it settles onto any wall surface — stone, render, timber, wallpaper — where a sharp-cornered sconce would not, and with no corners it never presents a hard edge side-on in a narrow corridor.

The metal body is made for hard use, in our Istanbul workshop. The antique brass surface is not paint but a patina worked into the metal, and it darkens over time.

The E27 lamp holder takes widely available bulbs. Bulb not included.

It suits living rooms, corridors, stairwell walls, bedrooms, entrance halls and hotel rooms, and set at even intervals it builds a steady rhythm.
