Wall Sconce

A cylindrical metal body with an opal acrylic face. The advantage of a cylinder on a wall is that it has no corners: the silhouette does not change as you move past it, and in a narrow corridor it never presents a sharp edge side-on.

The opal acrylic hides the lamp completely and releases the light evenly across the whole face. Mounted above eye level the source is invisible from any angle, which keeps corridors and stairwells — places people look along for a long time — from becoming tiring.

The decorative pattern on the body keeps a plain cylinder from being ordinary. The pattern is read together with the light: as the face brightens, its lines stay dark and build a texture across the surface.

The metal body is durable and made in our own workshop in Turkey.

The E27 lamp holder takes widely available bulbs; bulb not included.

It suits living rooms, corridors, stairwell walls, bedrooms and hotel rooms, and set at even intervals it builds a steady rhythm.

Available made to measure in other sizes and colours.
