A body that disappears, a light that stays on the wall.

A pierced metal sheet is bent in one piece into an arch; the top face curls back into a second shell over the body, with a second arched panel inside. The black finish pulls the volume back: after dark, almost all that reads is the light coming through the holes. Of the four finishes this is the one with the sharpest contrast — the one that holds against brick, concrete and dark timber.

Black is a bespoke paint finish, not a plating, applied to each body individually.

Two sizes are made. The small lamp stands 30 cm high on a 15 × 15 cm base — for a bedside, a shelf, a tabletop. The large lamp stands 56 cm high on a 23 × 23 cm base — beside a chair, in a hallway, or on the floor. The small size carries a hinged front panel with a ball catch; it opens, and the bulb is changed.

Wired for 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz, with cord and plug.

Made to order. The metal and the electrical fittings are specified per order according to whether the lamp stands indoors or outdoors, with weather-suited material and sealing for outdoor use. Size, colour and quantity change on request.

Handmade in Istanbul since 1984.
