Light from behind a white arch.

A pierced metal sheet is bent in one piece into an arch; the upper face curls back to stretch a second shell over the body, with a second arched panel inside. The finish is pearl white. The pale body softens the light and the perforations divide it into thousands of points, so what lands on the wall and the floor reads as lace rather than contrast. In dark finishes the light comes out sharp; in pearl white it arrives diffuse and calm.

Pearl white is a bespoke paint finish, not a plating. It is applied to each body individually.

Two sizes are made. The small lamp is 30 cm high on a 15 × 15 cm base — for a bedside, a shelf, a desk. The large lamp is 56 cm high on a 23 × 23 cm base — beside a chair, in an entrance, on the floor. The small size has a hinged front panel with a ball catch, opening for bulb changes.

Wired for 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz, with cord and plug.

Made to order. The metal and the electrical fittings are chosen per order according to indoor or outdoor use; for outdoor use, weather-resistant material and sealing are applied. Size, colour and quantity change on request.

Handmade in the same Istanbul workshop since 1984.
