A small form standing at the edge of a garden path, where the lawn ends. A slender stem rises from the soil, carrying a hand-hammered dome at its tip. The light falls downward, never upward — it lights the path without striking the eye. A bronze silhouette by day; a circle of light on the ground by night.

The dome is covered in hammer marks. Every dimple was struck by hand, so no two heads are alike. When light meets this irregular surface it reads as a soft glow at the rim and a deeper tone at the centre. This is precisely what a machine press cannot produce.

FORM AND CRAFT Head: Ø140 mm hemisphere, hand-hammered surface Stem: Ø13 mm plain tube — slim, unassuming, disappearing among planting Finish: Antique brass patina — not paint, but a patina worked into the metal itself Each piece differs in tone: warm gold on one head, darker bronze on another. The variation is intended. The patina deepens with time; it is not lacquered and does not peel.

DIMENSIONS Overall height: 30 cm · 45 cm · 60 cm (three heights) Head diameter: Ø14 cm Stem diameter: Ø1.3 cm Ground spike: 200 mm (pointed, driven) Sleeve: Ø25 mm × 200 mm

INSTALLATION The spike is driven straight into the soil — no concrete, anchors or base required. On hard ground, set the Ø25 mm sleeve first and seat the stem into it, so the lamp can be lifted, relocated, or taken in at the end of winter.

Spaced 2–3 metres apart along a path, the lamps form an unbroken ribbon of light. Designed for garden paths, walkways, gravel crossings, pool edges, terrace borders, under trees and flower beds.

LIGHT AND ELECTRICS 12 V LED system with transformer — mains voltage never reaches the lamp; the transformer sits at a single point and the whole run operates at low voltage Low voltage allows safe use in the garden and around pools; cabling can be routed underground Several lamps can be fed from one transformer — a whole run along a path on a single line The light source sits inside the dome and is not visible from outside Fully downward distribution — no glare toward the viewer Warm-toned light that renders stone, gravel and foliage truthfully Leaves a soft-edged pool of light roughly 1–1.5 m across

OUTDOORS Made for outdoor use. Designed to stay out in rain, damp, frost and sun. The metal stem and hammered head can be left outside year-round.

CARE Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or solvents. The antique brass surface darkens over time — this is not a defect but the material ageing on its own.

MADE IN ISTANBUL We have produced in our own workshop in Istanbul since 1984. Every head is hammered by hand and every patina applied by hand. Made to order.
