A curved arm reaches out from the wall and holds a slender cylinder. One gesture, one line — nothing added. Cast caps crown the body above and below, closing on a small drop finial; between them a fluted surface breaks the light into vertical strands. Used in pairs it frames an entrance symmetrically; repeated along a garden wall it sets a rhythm.

Body and arm are aluminium, finished in black electrostatic powder coating and oven-cured. Aluminium does not rust, and powder coat bonded electrostatically and hardened in the oven far outlasts ordinary paint: it will not scratch, fade in sun, blister in damp or flake in winter. The aluminium body will not corrode in sea air.

IP44 rated — splash-proof; suitable for sheltered entrances, balconies, terraces and garden walls.

Acrylic, not glass. Outdoors this matters: it does not break or splinter — a falling branch, a door caught by the wind or hail will crack glass; acrylic will not. It weighs about half a glass cylinder of the same size. The acrylic we use is UV-stable, optical grade, and will not yellow or cloud. It transmits light better than glass, the fluting spreading it without a harsh hotspot.

Dimensions: overall height 35 cm, diffuser diameter Ø8 cm. Round wall plate, fits over a standard back box.

Wiring: E27 lampholder, 60 W maximum (LED recommended). Bulb not included. Hard-wired, mounts with two screws. Electrical connection should be made by a qualified person.

The same fixture is also made in antique brass (indoor, metal).

Care: wipe with a damp cloth. No abrasives, steel wool or solvents.
