Wall Sconce

70 × 10 cm. A long, slim rectangle that reads on the wall as a line rather than a fitting. Hung vertically it lifts the space; hung horizontally it widens it — the same piece doing two different jobs.

The opal acrylic diffuser spreads light evenly across the whole face. The source is never visible and no hard shadow falls on the wall, so it does not tire the eye in the places people look at longest — corridors, stairs, a bedside.

The white painted metal body is deliberately quiet. Against a pale wall it all but disappears, leaving only the lit surface. The point is not to show the fitting but to show the light.

It suits corridors, entrance halls, stairwells, bedsides, bathroom mirrors and hotel rooms. Set at even intervals down a long corridor it builds a steady rhythm that describes the route.

Takes an E14 lamp holder; bulb not included.

Available made to measure in other sizes and colours, and in production runs for hotel and contract work. Made in our own Istanbul workshop.
