Candle Holder

A candle lantern that reads the lantern silhouette in straight lines, without ornament. Traditional lanterns carry curves, finials and cage detailing; none of that is here. What is left is the form itself — and it puts the candle forward.

The metal body is painted white or black. White reflects and softens the candlelight; black absorbs it, so the flame itself looks brighter. The same candle gives two different effects in the two finishes.

It comes in a large and a small size. Three set side by side at different heights read better than one large piece — the change in height creates movement on the table.

It works with a real candle or an LED one. The LED is the more practical choice in a house with children or on a windy terrace.

It suits coffee tables, hall consoles, the centre of a dining table, a hearth, and terrace settings.

Candle not included. Available made to measure in other sizes and colours. Made in our own Istanbul workshop.
