36 × 20 cm. A leather-topped tray behaves differently from metal or glass: what you set down on it makes no noise, does not slide and does not scratch. For hard little objects — keys, a watch, rings, glasses — it is the right surface.

The tan leather develops its own patina. Smooth and matt on the first day, it gains sheen and darkens with use, and the places that are touched most change first. That is not wear but the expected behaviour of leather — the piece becomes personal as it is used.

The frame is metal in an antique brass finish and ages in the same direction. The relationship between the warmth of the leather and the matt surface of the metal settles further as the two age together.

Use it as a key drop by the door, a perfume and jewellery organiser on a console, a personal tray on a bedside table, or a pen and note surface on a desk. It serves coffee equally well.

Wipe the leather with a dry cloth; do not use water or chemical cleaners.
