A serving tray with a clear acrylic base. Transparency here is a functional decision rather than a styling one: the tray itself becomes invisible and the colour and texture of the table beneath keep showing through. On a timber coffee table it does not cover the grain; on marble it does not hide the veining.

That is why a clear tray presents what is on it without casting it into shadow. Perfume bottles, jewellery and candles look as though they are held in the air rather than standing on a heavy base.

The metal rim is made in gold or silver. It does two jobs: it gives you something to grip, and it caps the cut edge of the acrylic so the piece reads as finished. Gold is warm and classical, silver cool and modern.

It suits coffee and refreshment service, organising perfume and jewellery, decorative use on a coffee table, and hotel-room welcome settings.

Wipe with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners, which will scratch it.
