Chandelier, custom

A fixture made to stand over a long table, a kitchen island or a bar counter. A 125 cm rectangular brass cage, ten bulbs in a row inside it, and a curtain of clear glass rods around them.

The rods run vertically and cover all four faces. When the bulbs are lit, the light passes through them, refracts in each curve and leaves as fine vertical lines. Up close you see hundreds of separate threads of light; from across the room, one warm band.

The brass frame is kept thin. Two profiles top and bottom, four corner posts — the rest is glass and light. The structure carries a 125 cm span without ever looking heavy.

The underside is open. Light falls straight onto the counter while a softer halo spreads sideways through the glass. Together they give a fixture that lights a working surface and sets the mood of the room at the same time.

WHERE IT WORKS Designed for kitchen islands, long dining tables, bar counters, boardroom tables, hotel lobbies and café counters. Hang 75–85 cm above a counter; 80–90 cm above a dining table.

CARE Wipe the brass with a dry or lightly damp soft cloth. Clean the glass rods in place with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. No abrasive cleaners, polish or metal brightener. The patina deepens over time.

MADE Handmade in our own workshop in Istanbul. Available as a bespoke order in the length, depth, finish and socket count you require — 150 cm, 180 cm and longer are possible.
