A tiered candle chandelier — the basic scheme of Ottoman palace lighting. The tiers widen from top to bottom, each carrying its own ring of light, so the light steps downward in stages. That is what separates it from a single-tier fitting: the light does not sit on one plane but at several heights at once.

In large, tall rooms that matters. A single-plane chandelier in a high-ceilinged hall either stays near the ceiling and fails to light the table, or drops low and ruins the proportion. A tiered structure makes that choice unnecessary.

The body is built in solid brass. Solid brass is heavier than sheet and does not move over the years — on a chandelier this size that difference is decisive. Each tier is assembled separately and the spacing between them set by hand.

The finish is an antique patina — worked into the metal rather than plated, and darkening over time.

It suits large dining rooms, hotel ballrooms, luxury villa entrances and the halls of historic houses. It needs both ceiling height and floor area.

Bulbs not included. Tier count, size and drop are set per project. Made in our own Istanbul workshop since 1984.
