An inverted-cone chandelier drawn from the Art Deco lighting language of the 1920s. Twelve radial panels open outward from the apex, each filled with cream and amber stained glass beneath a geometric metal overlay of chevrons, fans and arrows.
The bowl faces up. That means the light never falls directly — it strikes the ceiling first and returns to the room softened. The particular atmosphere of an Art Deco dining room comes from exactly this inversion.
Five decorative chains carry it from a worked ceiling boss. An amber glass drop hangs from the base plate.
Ø140 cm, 180 cm overall. Made to any size.
Stained glass is not the same as plain coloured glass: every panel is cut separately, framed in lead or metal beading, and the shifts of colour balanced panel to panel by hand. Using cream and amber together keeps the light warm as it returns from the ceiling.
At Ø140 cm this chandelier belongs only in tall rooms; a ceiling of at least 3.5 metres is recommended, and the fixing point should be checked before installation.
Bulbs not included. Made to any size required. Made in our own Istanbul workshop since 1984.
