A small cube-form table lamp. What makes it right for a child's room is not decoration but the character of its light: soft rather than sharp, balanced rather than bright. It is the level that keeps a room from going fully dark at bedtime without keeping anyone awake.

The cube is a stable form. Unlike a rounded body it cannot roll, and it does not topple easily when it is pushed towards the edge of a bedside table. The cord exits at the back, leaving nothing on the sides to catch on.

Because the geometry is plain, it keeps its place however the room changes around it — a night light in infancy, a desk lamp at school age, a decorative object on a bookshelf afterwards.

It suits desks, bedside tables, bookshelves and nurseries, and a pair set side by side creates a symmetrical arrangement.
