Table Lamp

The lamp on a desk is the object in the room that gets looked at most. This one comes from a classic silhouette: a weighted base, a slender stem and a shade that sends the light downwards.

The metal body is shaped and soldered by hand. The mass sits low in the base, so the lamp stands firm on the desk and does not tip when the cord is caught.

The shade drops light straight onto the work surface and keeps glare out of your eye line. It suits reading, writing and long hours at a screen, and looks equally right on a bookshelf, a console or a bedside table.

Because the form is a timeless one, it works with classic, modern and industrial interiors alike — on its own, or as a symmetrical pair.
