Tray

A serving tray 30 cm across with a clear acrylic base. The transparency covers nothing beneath it: the grain of a timber table, the veining of marble, the colour of a cloth all keep showing. The tray draws a border without putting down a lid.

The rim is metal finished in antique brass. The surface is not a plating but a hand-applied patina, and it darkens with time. The metal edge gives you something to grip and caps the cut face of the acrylic so the piece reads as finished.

The acrylic base has a practical advantage too: it is far lighter than a glass-based tray. With six glasses of tea on it that difference tells, and if it is dropped it does not break.

Use it for tea and coffee service, for snacks, for carrying breakfast, or to organise a tabletop. Empty, it sits as a decorative object on a coffee table.

Wipe with a damp cloth; not dishwasher safe, and abrasive cleaners will scratch it.

Available made to measure in other sizes and colours. Handmade in our own Istanbul workshop.
