Tray

A square tray, 26 × 26 cm. Unlike a round one, a square sits properly into a corner or onto a shelf; on a console, a bedside table or inside a cupboard it wastes no space. With four equal sides it reads as ordered from whichever direction you approach it.

The base is acrylic and the rim is metal finished in antique brass. The two materials together make the tray both light and firm: the acrylic makes it easy to carry, the metal rim holds the edge rigid and keeps what is on it from sliding off.

The antique brass surface is not a plating but a hand-applied patina, and it darkens with time.

Use it in an entrance hall to gather keys, glasses, a watch, perfume and jewellery; in a living room to serve coffee; on a coffee table to arrange candles and objects. It is also a common choice for a hotel-room welcome setting.

Wipe with a damp cloth; not dishwasher safe.

Available made to measure in other sizes and colours. Handmade in our own Istanbul workshop.
