Outdoor

A slender stem rises from the ground with a ribbed sphere at its tip. The sphere is truly round but its surface is not smooth: rings of fluting narrow from the top down, texturing the metal like a hive. The light sits inside the sphere and leaves only from below — it goes down, not up. It lights the path without catching the eye.

The flutes are not only decoration. By day the sun breaks across them and the sphere reads as fine lines rather than one flat tone. By night the light leaving the opening underneath pools in a circle on the ground, and the sphere stays a quiet silhouette in the dark.

Dimensions: overall height 60 cm, sphere head Ø10 cm, stem Ø1.3 cm, base Ø10 cm. Beneath the base is a Ø2.5 × 20 cm ground spike; it drives straight into soil or gravel with no concrete. The fitting beside the base is the cable entry.

Produced in several heights. Running short, medium and tall along one path lifts the lighting off a single plane — as in the photographs.

Colour: Antique bronze. Also produced in black.

Use along a garden path, a lawn edge, around a pool, at a terrace entrance or beneath trees. Runs on a low-voltage system.
