Lantern Chandelier, Chandelier

A square, pyramid-bodied pendant with four light sources. Four glass panels open out like a broad eave and taper downward; above them sits a fluted brass band, and above that a slender arched cage. These three layers — eave, band, arch — give the piece the silhouette of a garden pavilion, which is where it takes its name.

The carrying frame and the band are cut, folded and soldered from sheet brass in our workshop. The flutes in the band are opened one by one; this is not machine work, so their spacing is never identical to the millimetre. Each pane is seated in the frame individually.

Glass options: frosted or clear. Frosted glass softens the light, hides the bulbs and gives the room an even, warm glow. Clear glass shows the four candle forms openly, for a sharper, more decorative light. Simply state which you want when ordering.

Dimensions: 40 cm wide × 40 cm deep × 22 cm body height. Drop rod 50 cm, ceiling canopy Ø12 × 3 cm. The rod is shortened to your ceiling height and can be made longer on request. Four light sources.

Colour options: Antique Brass and Black. Black is a custom-mixed paint finish, not a plating; the surface stays matte and even and will not flake over time. Antique brass is a hand-applied finish with real depth.

Use it over a kitchen island or dining table, in an entrance hall, on a stair landing or in a covered veranda. The broad eave gathers the light downward, which makes it effective over worktops and tables.
