Section

Chandelier

A lantern glazed on all six faces. Four curved arms draw a dome above, a hexagonal base closes it below, and between them, behind clear glass panels, four candle arms stand. The proportions of a classic English hall lantern, built with our workshop's hand.

The glass is clear — not opal. That is deliberate: the bulbs are meant to be seen, the filament itself is the ornament. Light passes through without being diffused, so the inside and the outside of the lantern read at once. Lit, the hexagonal volume glows whole and throws sharp shadow lines where the glass corners cross.

The four arms above are not straight tube but hand-bent curves. Each ends in a small brass ball seated on a corner post. They carry the structure, and they are also what gives the lantern its soft, bell-shaped silhouette.

The candle arms sweep up from a cross base below. Four sockets at one level, four candle sleeves evenly spaced — that symmetry inside the lantern is what reads as a centre from outside.

Made in two finishes: antique brass and matte black. The brass for a traditional hall or stairwell, the black more graphic, for a kitchen island or a modern entry.

WHERE IT WORKS Designed for entrance halls, vestibules, stairwells, corridors and kitchen islands. Over an island it works best in pairs or threes; hang 75–85 cm above the counter. In an entrance hall leave at least 220 cm of clearance from the floor.

CARE Wipe the brass with a dry or lightly damp soft cloth. Clean the glass panels in place with a soft cloth. No abrasive cleaners, polish or metal brightener. The patina deepens over time; this is the material ageing, not a defect.

MADE Handmade in our own workshop in Istanbul. Available as a bespoke order in the diameter, height, finish and socket count you require — Ø28 cm and Ø45 cm are also possible.
