At the centre stands a cartouche bent from flat brass bar — not filled, only its outline drawn. That void is the body of the chandelier.
A turned brass stem runs straight through it: vase, sphere and collar stacked in sequence, closing on a pointed drop. Six arms emerge from within the frame and sweep outward in a wide curve. Where they cross the frame is left visible, not concealed.
Small white shades edged in gold braid sit at the tips. Light escapes up and down through the open ends; the shade cuts the lamp exactly at eye level.
80 cm wide. Antique brass patina. The stem is turned by hand, the arms bent by hand.
On a classical shaded chandelier the shade is not ornament: it cuts the lamp off exactly at eye level, so anyone seated at the table never looks straight at the source. Open at top and bottom, it lets light reach both the ceiling and the table — something a closed shade cannot do.
The antique brass surface is not a plating but a patina worked into the metal, and it darkens over time.
Width 80 cm, body height 45 cm, 75 cm overall with the chain. Bulbs not included. Arm count, size and colour can be changed to order. Made in our own Istanbul workshop since 1984.
