A nine-arm candle chandelier. With an odd number of arms the piece stays symmetrical without going rigid: an even count pairs off opposite each other and locks into a fixed order, while an odd one keeps the form slightly in motion. It is why classical chandeliers so often carry an odd number.

The body is antique bronze, worked together with brass and iron. The darker, redder tone of bronze is more sober than the yellow of brass, and it sits better with dark timber furniture, parquet and bookcases.

It is used with candle-form lamps; the flame-shaped glass above each arm reads as a real candle. Light arriving from nine separate points fills in the shadows — none of the hardness a single strong source creates.

Glass or crystal detailing refracts and spreads the light.

It suits dining rooms, living rooms, hotel lobbies and generous entrance halls, and is at its most balanced over a round dining table.

Bulbs not included. Arm count, size and colour can be changed to order. Made in our own Istanbul workshop since 1984.
