Chandelier

The Orbit head is built from three parts: a fluted brass body above, a Ø30 cm acrylic disc held horizontally at its middle, and a small base below carrying the same fluting. The disc rings the body like an orbit — which is where the name comes from.

The flutes are turned on the lathe step by step, each ring taken off with its own cut. That is why the surface glints in bands under the light. The brass is then aged by hand, darkening in the grooves and lifting on the crests.

The light sits inside the body and is never visible from any angle. The acrylic disc draws the light in first, then spreads it to its edge at an even density: the disc glows without glaring. The light that falls carries a clean circle onto the table below.

Colour: Antique brass. Drop length is set to your ceiling height.

Seven heads descend from a round canopy at different heights. From below they read as overlapping circles of light; from the side they separate again. For a wide hall, a round table or a stair landing.
