The oldest form of garden path lighting is a lantern set on a post. This fixture takes that form, strips its ornament and leaves only what is needed: four opal panels, a slim frame and a pyramid roof above.

The pyramid roof is not only an image; it throws the rain off and keeps the light from escaping to the sky. The light leaves evenly on four sides and goes outward rather than up — it lights the path, does not strike the eye, does not fill the neighbour's window.

The opal panels show the bulb from no angle. At night you see four bright rectangles with no point inside them. That matters most when several posts are used in a garden: set in a row, they build an even line of light that does not tire the eye.

The body is aluminium: it does not rust and does not break down in sea air. Over it goes a special-order paint prepared for outdoor conditions.

At home along garden and villa paths, at hotel and restaurant entrances, beside driveways, around pools and on walkways within a complex. The post height is made to order.
